Hitchens on "The Moral Necessity of Atheism"

Chistopher Hitchens speaks at Georgia University about "The Moral Necessity of Atheism."

"But I do want to propose the concept of an anti-theist as opposed to the non-theist or agnostic. The anti-theist, such as myself, is someone who is hostile to the idea of religion, [and] takes no position as between faiths. We maintain that the pluralism of faith..and the schism within existing faiths, the number of churches--if not churches, synagogues or [ ] or temples--claiming to possess an avenue to the truth and competing with one another is susceptible of a very simple explanation: the pluralism of religion is attributable to the fact that Man created God, and not the other way around."
